This six-week course introduces the foundational techniques of traditional jewelry making in a small, supportive studio setting. Designed for complete beginners, students will learn essential hand fabrication skills used in fine jewelry studios for generations.
Over the course of six weeks, students will explore techniques such as accurate measuring, marking, sawing, filing, forming, and soldering. Emphasis will be placed on developing comfort with professional jewelry tools and materials.
Students will complete several small projects while gaining an understanding of how jewelry is constructed.
Class size is intentionally limited to allow for individual guidance and a relaxed, focused atmosphere.
The studio is located on Lafayette Road (Rte 1) in North Hampton, NH

Build on the fundamentals learned in Beginning Jewelry while exploring more advanced fabrication and soldering techniques.
Students will refine core skills and work on more complex projects such as stone setting, layered construction, tube settings, or hollow forms depending on experience and interest.
Prerequisite: Beginning Jewelry or equivalent experience required.

Open Studio classes have no set start dates, and enrollment is ongoing. New students can join any time, as long as there are no workshops or other scheduled classes.
Prior permission to use the studio and its equipment is required.
